Closest Matches
These are the games journalists and the community point to when describing VHOLUME's vibe.
Mirror's Edge (2008)
The original. First-person parkour in a clean white city. VHOLUME is the "moody stepchild" of Mirror's Edge — same flow, but darker, more brutalist, no combat. If you bounced off Mirror's Edge's combat, VHOLUME is the pure-parkour version.
Lorn's Lure
Climbing, sliding and leaping through vast decaying megastructures. If VHOLUME's "broken brutalist playground" is the draw, Lorn's Lure pushes the same architecture-as-traversal idea further. One of last year's most acclaimed indie precision platformers.
Hot Lava
First-person parkour with the same "the floor is lava" framing. Lighter in tone than VHOLUME, but the traversal language and the need to find creative routes are similar.
Same Team's Catalogue
VHOLUME is made by the same three-person team behind these games. If you trust the dev signature, start here.
Straftat (2024)
Free 1v1 FPS from the Lemaitre brothers. Lo-fi deathmatch that PC Gamer named the best FPS of 2024. VHOLUME is the slower, moodier, single-player side of the same studio — if you love the VHOLUME demo's movement feel, Straftat will feel like home with guns.
BABBDI (2022)
The Lemaitre brothers' earlier game. A slow, atmospheric exploration game through a brutalist environment. VHOLUME is what happens when you take BABBDI's mood and crank the movement system up by a factor of ten. If VHOLUME feels lonely and quiet at peak speed, BABBDI is the same emotion at walking pace.
Adjacent & Upcoming
If you've finished VHOLUME and want the same feeling with a different texture, these are worth keeping on the radar.
Motorslice
2026's other indie parkour hit. Different surface (vehicles instead of foot), same momentum obsession.
Panline (2027)
Upcoming parkour game. Too early for a deep read, but worth wishlisting if VHOLUME is your kind of thing.
Counter-Strike surf maps
Not a game, but a community. CS surf maps are pure momentum puzzles on a flat surface — the same "find the line, shave the time" loop that VHOLUME's speedrun scene is building. Free, infinite variety, and a great practice ground for the VHOLUME mindset.
